Niantic is the world leader in AR technology, developing immersive games such as Pokémon GO, Ingress, and Monster Hunter NOW. As the Senior Community Manager for Pokémon GO, my responsibilities are:
Manage a community of 14 million players, navigating sentiment against company KPIs and strategizing to deliver the best results
Develop and maintain first in class grassroots community programming, aiming at invigorating growth and positive sentiment in our casual player base
Work with stakeholders across the company in creating gameplay that creates authentic, long-lasting bonds within our community
Manage a global team to meet individual needs in each target market
Maintain all influencer and content relations, creating a white glove program that drives their engagement
Community Manager (2020-2022)
Gen Con
Gen Con is the largest tabletop gaming convention in North America, serving the gaming industry since 1968. As Community Manager, I focus on:
Being voice of the organization to help build an engaged community around Gen Con and tabletop gaming.
Providing engaging text, image and video content for all social media and professional accounts on a regular cadence.
Developing and maintaining an active, positive relationship with Gen Con’s community.
Responding to questions, concerns, and comments across all social channels in a timely manner.
Resolving conflicts and de-escalate situations as needed.
Reporting or documenting actionable customer feedback.
Creating programs to identify key influencers and stakeholders and convert them to community advocates.
Building relationships with social media and streaming influencers, industry professionals and content creators. Create and build a database of key influencers and follow and engage with influential profiles to amplify promotions, enhance community presence, and gain exposure with new audiences.

Dystopia Rising
Dystopia Rising creates monthly immersive live events for participants to interact with and cooperatively build stories for up to 1000 participants. As the Community Manager, my responsibilities were:
• Facilitate the growth, education, and inspiration of a community of 600+ members and staff
• Manage event and staff scheduling
• Resolve internal and external conflicts, overview team safety, and continually trained team on most up-to-date techniques and company policies
• Run quarterly digital social events to keep community connected
• Actively listen, interpret, and report on community feedback
• Provide a clear point of contact for any community needs
Director of Storytelling (2014-2019)
Dystopia Rising
Dystopia Rising creates monthly immersive live events for participants to interact with and cooperatively build stories for up to 1000 participants. As the Director of Storytelling, my responsibilities were:
• Create, write, and manage complex, interactive storylines for participants to engage in
• Adapt and react to participants' choices, adjusting writing and event management on the fly to maximize engagement
• Coordinate, train, and manage a team of eight writers and twenty additional volunteers
• Handle all aspects of running a franchise, including marketing, community management, and social media
• Resolve conflicts between participants or staff, including mental health and safety
• Develop national-level standards for other immersive events to create best-in-class content
Copy Editor (2013-2018)
Hasbro, Inc.
Hasbro is a world-recognized toy company working with their own internal brands as well as external licensors to create entertainment for children and adults. As a Copy Editor, my responsibilities were:
• Manage consistent brand voice on domestic and international design collateral, including packaging, instructions, and e-commerce
• Proofread at all stages of production to ensure error-free results
• Ensure federal and global regulations are met for any design collateral
• Participate in branding, brainstorm, and project management meetings
• Meet hard, fast deadlines to ensure best-in-quality product hits shelves on time
